quail getting hurt?

I was having the same problem until I culled down to 1:6 with the least aggressive Roo in the bunch. Now everyone is MUCH happier though I have no idea with fertility and have only been doing this for 3 days.

i suggest you seperate the 2 until you can get hold of 3 or 4 more hens. All that's going on is that you have a 1:1 ratio and it's breeding season. Check craigslist or go to a local animal auction and pick up a bunch of hens ....THEN all will be well as long as you really get hens and not a bunch of roos...Coturnix are NOT generally aggressive. They may be overcrowded or bored which will cause them to fret with each other or there may not be enough hens to roos ratio...
Coturnix are wonderful and enjoyable.Don't get discouraged with having them....

THAT'LL WORK. EASIEST TO JUST GIVE HIM MORE LADIES, BUT A BIT WOULD STOP THE PROBLEM UNTIL MORE HENS CAN BE ACQUIRED AND EVEN BEYOND
