Quail has been scalped

i think he was just cold. I dont have a picture because he isnt doing it right now LOL! but he looked like he was sleeping, but standing up. I think he was cold, since it was chilly this morning. I put him out in the sun (i did provide shade, dont worry) and now he is a lot better. He's acting pretty normal, eating and drinking fine. He even ate out of my hand, which is a first!

Update: He is eating and drinking, and being good. But i still think he is uncomfortable because he is scratching at the area around his wound. Also I found some ants in his little cage, so I had to move him to another one. But overall, i think he is doing good! He is back to his sleepy, grumpy little self.

Glad he is doing well. Experienced this with about three quail myself, and two out of three are well and thriving.
