I considered Bobwhites first, I love their appearance and the Mexican Speckled are very pretty. I don't remember what changed my mind though.

Don't Bobwhites mate for life in monogamous couples?

If you only have 1 pair, then yes but the males will mate with multiple females when in captivity.

ETA - In the wild they will pair up with the same mate, unless something happens to one or the other, then they find another mate.

Probably the fact it takes more room for Bob's than Cot's.

In the wild a Bobwhites life span is on average 6 months and can live to 5 years under ideal conditions.

Interesting point, the ones on the left were the “I can’t see anything” ones Saturday.
They are the most advanced. Whilst the ones on the right aren’t.

I'm pretty sure I read somewhere they're monogamous and that was why I didn't get a permit for them, thanks for the correction. I'll have to tell my husband, he wanted to raise the Bobwhites instead of the Coturnix too.
