Sounds like quite the journey! I sure hope they all hatch out for you!!!I was gifted some adult quail. Is that how you say it? Adult? Regardless, I whittled the "flock" down to one male and three females. One of the females died fairly early, before I had even considered incubating any.
I bought just about the smallest incubator I could find (still pricey, though) and loaded 12 eggs in it. After 15 days, I candled them. Of the 12, 10 were fertilized. Of those 10, eight hatched. This was on April 28th.
I was able to scrounge up nine more eggs (one hen died and another wasn't laying). Of those nine, seven were fertile. All seven hatched. That was two weeks ago.

I had one more hen die, but a few days later, the remaining hen started laying.
I have 10 of her eggs in the incubator and they have about nine days left. #fingerscrossed
Awwww, sorry you had some breakage. That always sucks! Congrats and happy birthday to the successful hatchers! I also hope you get the rest hatched out in the morning!I'm glad you finally got some babies! I had 20 button quail eggs shipped to me. 2 were broken on arrival. They are hatching today and so far we have 4 little bumble bee sized babies! Hoping to see a few more fuzzy heads in the morning. lol
We now have a total of 10 chicks hatched out and dry in the brooder! But I now see one more egg pipping! I'm very happy with the turn out! Especially for damaged shipped eggs.Awwww, sorry you had some breakage. That always sucks! Congrats and happy birthday to the successful hatchers! I also hope you get the rest hatched out in the morning!![]()
