Hi all! Need quick advice!
I put my coturnix quail eggs on lockdown today (day 14.) I'm using a plastic incubator with auto turner, and plastic wire mesh on the bottom. I covered the wire bottom with a dry towel/burp cloth so their feet wouldn't get stuck after hatch. Humidity is 67, temp is 37.5c. Problem is the condensation from the side of incubator has seeped into the burp cloth, and now the burp cloth is slightly damp. Is it ok for the eggs to be on a slightly damp surface? Or should I go in and remove the burp cloth, and put them directly onto the wire? I hesitate the mess with them at this point, but don't know if a damp surface is no bueno. Thank you! This is my first time incubating.

Hmmm, you might want to test the humidity with a secondary hygrometer, 67 shouldn't cause condensation.
I wouldn't leave the eggs on the wet cloth. I personally use rubber cabinet liner with the little holes in it.

I grabbed the rubber cabinet liner like you said, and swapped the damp towel for the liner. I worked as quickly as I could, and hopefully they eggs did ok during the swap! Humidity went down a lot while the top was open, but went back up within a minute or two, so hopefully that's ok. Thanks for the suggestion!
