I've done lots of research on rabbit genetics but don't have experience seeing them on the real thing, so while I know what genes are I may not know what they look like. But I am 95% sure this is the broken. Broken En removes part of the pigment from the coat. I believe if you have two of the genes you get a charlie.
If you have a rabbit with a heavy blanket pattern, you can breed to a solid and it’s fine. You’ll have zero Charlie’s. Breeding broke a gives you 1:4 Charlie odds. If you have a Charlie with a beautiful shape or a nice dense coat, it’s well worth keeping
