Quail Newb!! Inquiries about Incubation

Jjmr is right.....

ive never have a quail egg explode in my bator, they just dry up.......
i dont even candle mine at all....

throw them in
set temp
fill water bottle
turn on turner and basically ignore them except for a glance a few times a day at the temp and humidity........
start looking for peeps around day 16-17

to me quail are less sensitive than chickens...

ive ran humidity down to 20% forgot to lockdown ect and still had excellent hatch rates....

Can someone recommend a "GOOD" hygrometer/thermometer. I purchased two and.....need I say more? These so called Hygros that I have say the temperature is different than the thermometer on the inside of the incubator. The humidity level is waaaaaaayyy off according to the hygro side of this item. However, I dont know if it is accurate. Is there a way to test the equipment. IF it is, and I doubt it is, correct then how do I increase my humidity in the hatcher and the incubator (I have two)? I keep the wells with water as well but IF this piece of equipment is correct then I have to do something.

I don't know if mine is correct either the thermometer is .3 degrees off and the humidity is always low I added 2 sponges for lockdown and its finally reading 62 but don't know if thats low
