Quail run

Hi, it's gotten warm enough to have my quail outside. Would this run be suitable for them. They would be locked up into a coop at night.

Not really. The spaces between the bars are too big for one. It is also rather flimsy, so if you have a hawk, a cat, or just about anything come by, they will have a quail snack.

Quail do not like being moved around, so they will probably stop laying if you are putting them out and bringing them in every day.

I think I'm going to make my own run for them. I'm planning to make 2. 1 for the girls and 1 for the boys. What do u do with all your spare boys that u don't cull? Should I just have all of the boys separated?

Are you talking about coturnix quail? If so, good luck with the boys. If they can see or hear the girls, they will fight, it will get bloody, and some will die.

I eat my extra boys.
