shucks, I'm thinking about printing it out on a piece of paper, cutting out the silhouette and then putting it on one of my outdoor t-shirts and rustoleum spray painting the silhouette on the front of the shirt, countryboy style...

how lucky were we! and just measured... each pen is 27" X 27", just over 5 sq. feet. very neat how they put it together. I may keep a few breeder quads and have some room for the 4 wks olds and 6 wk olds, still way under 50 birds easy right now...I cleaned all 9 of the litter trays, added pine nuggets, fed and changed water, and added sand to their "hog" pans in 9 pens in about 20 mins today.

btw, I think the 4-5 sumos I keep are going into the Quailrover for the winter pasturing, easier- since I wont be expecting too many eggs from them until springtime.

I can see us (bigjim and I) ramping up lil brown coturnix japonica production and the hunt for the, as yet undiscovered, "white buffalo quail"...come cooler weather.
