these ribs got a check and a ribbon at the same place.

Brisket drew a ribbon but not good enough for a check.... I was robbed cuz it was lip smack'n good!!

Is there wild hog shoot'in down your way? I think that would be a good way to spend the afternoon. There start'n to get a foot hold in Kansas, but not thick around here yet, too many red necks that like shootn critters and eatin pork ribs is guess.

Fat Daddy, if you was a Redneck<g> you woulda known right off that them is wild pigs or they Momma and Daddy was.
Anyway if you in the area on the weekend of October 7-8, we having a Old Time Pig and oyster Roast with one of them pigs as the guest of honor. We'll have fresh Gulf oysters. The pig will be cooked in the traditional way, open pit over live coals.
We gonna grill and fry some quail, and on Friday night we cooking up some homegrown dead cow parts.
Should be a good time.

As for the brooder, it was 2 of them. I about got mine ready to put in the shed.
I got 5 or 6 dozen Q eggs ready to go in the warm box.
