Question about a broody

I have a question about a broody. I picked my my flock by breeds that didint gobroody like leghorns golden comets and barred rocks. Now i have a broody golden comet. what is the deal with this i thought they were bred to be production hens and not go broody?

Just because a chicken is bred to be production..does not mean it will not 100% go broody....My Grandmother had red sex links and they went broody...now if they were pure bred or not is the question.

I never knew that barred rocks weren't supposed to go broody. One of mine went broody just a couple of months ago, and she hatched two beautiful chicks.

I wouldn't take any tendency as the absolutey rule. Easy-going breeds have mean individuals, and "mean" breeds have easy-going individuals. You just never know for sure.
