I don't know if this is the right place to ask this question but I am wanting to know...........I have been seeing the chicks seem to change as they age in ways of coloring and feathers....when will a chick develope their adult like feathers? Or is this a dumb question?
I know males have pointy neck & saddle feathers so when will they begin to develope them? What age? My chicks are 6 weeks.

No question is dumb, unless its the one that isn't asked. As long as you are learning, or attempting to learn then its never dumb.

That being said, chicks start feathering out at about a week old, however they dont really reach full feather maturity until almost a year old, or after their first full molt. My Silkies will be fully feathered around 4 to 6 months, but after their first full molt, they always look ten times better.
