Question about eggs rocking

I don't have a way to check my humidity

. I just learned that there is a thermometer that does this. However, I am in a pretty rural area and not real close to a store that would sell one. I have added more hot warm to the tray at the bottom of my incubator in hopes that that works

. Any advice on what I can do for humidity is greatly appreciated. They are peeping a lot and rocking so much that I am starting to think they are playing bumper eggs!

What are you hatching them in? Is it a Little Giant/styrofoam incubator by chance?

add small shallow bowls of HOT water.
you want condensation pooling on the windows of the incubator .
you can also drap paper towels over the edges of the bowls or use sponges to create more surface area.
once you put the hot water in there tho wait a few moments. and watch to see if it creates condensation. then hands off. and
anytime you have to open the incubator replace the water with new hot water to bump it back up.

Yes that is what I am using.

I use soaked paper towels placed inside tupperware lids. That way, you don't have to worry about getting a bowl of water out of bator when the babies first hatch.

ETA: If you set them under vent holes, you can use aquarium pump tubing to siphon hot water into the tupperware lids without opening bator.

if the bowl is shallow enough for them to get in then you can put paper towels in it so the water area is still there but its not standing water.
i put sponges in my bowls .
you can also use a wash cloth.
just make sure whatever you use is soaked good with the hot water.

I have been adding hot water to the bottom through the vent holes so I will continue to do that with the rags "which is what I have choosen to use" under the vent hole. Thank you! That helps!

also if you cant get condensation on the windows. you can close the 2 large vent holes back up. (i have to do this or else my humidity will not get high enough)
