I have what is most likely a dumb question. We're butchering a few birds tomorrow and are going to freeze them. Should I put them in the refridgerator for a couple of days first in order to let the meat tenderize first before I freeze them, or can I freeze them right away and let them tenderize in the fridge for a couple of days as they thaw out. Am I even making sense? This is all new to us. Thanks for your answers.

I usually just fill a cooler full of ice and a little water and that is where they stay for a couple days, that way they don't take up the run in the refridge.

You can do it either way which ever is best for you, or you can do as I do and do it on both ends. I brine for a day in the ice bath then freeze, then let them defrost in the fridge for a day or so then pig out LOL.
