Question about Genetics with Marans

Hi! I have a question about genetics. I have a beautiful French Black Copper Maran rooster, and a French Golden Cuckoo Maran. What if I breed the two together? What would I get?

Probably sexable chicks: sons with barring (look similar to Golden Cuckoo Marans) and daughters with no barring (look like Black Copper Marans)

Since both parents are Marans, I would expect chicks to have all the usual Marans traits, so it's just a matter of what colors they are.

Okay, so what would happen if I bred the offspring together? Would I still get sexable chicks? Or what if I bred the daughters back to the father?

No, if you bred the offspring together you would get 50 percent black and 50 percent cuckoo offspring.
If you bred the daughters with their father you would get black coppers.
