Question about medicated feed vs. non med feed

my chicks are 5 weeks and have been on the medicated feed. my local store only carries unmedicated feed for chicks (nearest TSC is 45 minutes away). Do they have enough of the benefits of the medicated feed? I really need to get some and can only get to TSC probabloy on Sunday. Or could I feed them scratch grains until Sunday?

Any help is appreciated.

If it was me I would just feed them the unmedicated feed. But if you don't feel comferdable about doing that better make drive to other store

Even if they were on medicated feed, they could still get cocci. Mine always did unless I put dirt in the brooders before their first week of life was over- I got wise to that practice later on.

Just get the non-medicated and watch for signs of cocci.
