He doesn't drive. We told him 2 1/2 years ago to sign up for drivers ed. Didn't do it, wouldn't do it, not interested. Until now. He is 17 1/2 and told me last night. "I need a license - I'm tired of mooching rides off of my friends."
DUH!
Last week he says - "Can we go to Pittsburgh this weekend and check out the school?"
We live in Iowa.
This is why I hate to send him off yet. He lacks common sense, likes to learn everything the really hard way. Not that we haven't tried to teach him about reality. I'd really like to see him stay here for another year or so.
