That statement just reminded me of the verse about the hyppocrites who prayed loudly on the street corners
SO people would see and hear them praying (doing it for attention). Or people who
openily give generously
SO other people would think more highly of them, instead of having humility and the right motives.
Not knocking publicly sharing the gospel on a street corner in any way, but I think your actions should do most of the talking at first (showing love, compassion, humility, etc). Then you might open some doors to some genuine conversations, verses sitting on a high horse and just condemning people straight to hell. Jesus was the King of Kings but he lived his entire life as a servant...
