Question for the ladies - Endometrial Ablation?

your in box is full .. I have WHAT in my yard...

Wiccan? Endometrial Ablation?

This reminds me of the thread that started with vandalism and ended with vegan recipes, 40 posts later.

Where will this one go?

(BTW, I am sorry for your discomfort. I hope it works out the best possible way.)

I know having fibroids isn't the same as your problem, but my dr suggested all sorts of "options" that seemed more invasive to me than just taking care of the problem. I didn't want to "try" something, and hope it worked. After dealing with severe pain since I was 13, I was now 40 and I wanted the problem GONE, so when he finally said the "H" word as he called it, I practically jumped out of my chair and said THATS what I want!!! I had a partial, ovaries still intact. My fibroids were so big they had to be removed from outside. I've never felt better (although I still have alot of sensitivity at the scar location), I can function now without pain killers and it's such a free feeling, travel and do what ever and never worry about IT again!!

If you can do a partial, I'd strongly recommend it. Why continue to drag it out. If you're not having kids, you don't need it!

No, it does not stop ovulation. It removes the uterine lining, but that's it.

DRAT that's what I thought.

Well, at least I get to go in and talk to someone about my options... and get my really late annual done...

Yeah, EA leves the ovaries alone, that is why so many women choose it. The hormone factories stay intact.

Well a partial hysterectomy leaves them intact as well so it must be more to do with less invasive and not a lot of recovery time.
