Question for the rubenesque of our female byc

It's strange, but when I was younger (I know 41 is not that old!) I cared more about my undies than I do now. Now, comfort is key. I like to look good for those special times, but I'm a full time Mom with a yard and house full of animals. So I agree, fru-fru is not important, at least not as much as it used to be. I live in jeans, shorts and tshirts or tanks...sweatshirts and flannel shirts in the winter. Somedays I wonder if I'm just getting lazy?

I would like to see someone make a decent comfortable bra for women of all sizes that was pretty and affordable. Is that too much to ask?

Ok, you made me strip off here right in front of the computer and I'm wearing a 42DD, Lilyette, which isn't the new one I bought over the weekend so maybe it's a discontinued style.

To be honest...underwires are the worst in the whole very world...they always bite in and they don't fit real boob shapes.

Unfortunately, a couple of years ago I started going braless and I had a cancer scare...it was okay though...I was having pain and come to find out...when you have bigger breasts, they pull on the chest muscles and cause pain THERE too. so a supportive bra is a must...

I have to agree with SpottedCrow, support is key. I can't imagine going without a bra. Not only would I never get anything done trying to keep them outta my way, but it seems that would not be comfortable either.

I am practical. It is part of my weird Quakerness, I suppose. It is all about 100% cotton underwear and simple off-white bras that won't show under a white t-shirt. No Victoria's Secret in my life.

I am really boring like that.

BTW, what's with sportsbras always giving a uniboob?

They custom make bras for you. I saved up for two weeks and bought one. With shipping it was $73, but I had some extra features added to it that upped the price, plus mine is in the outer stratosphere of size. (They do not put enough D's together to make my actual cup size.) So, I think a more moderately sized woman could have one for around fifty bucks.

I love it. I want five more and I will be saving up for them. But anyone with some sewing skill (which I do NOT have, mind you) could reverse engineer them.

It's a very comfortable bra. It doesn't keep the ladies perched up under my chin or anything, but it keeps me contained without pinching anywhere or making me feel like I'm wearing a boa constrictor around my chest.

And once again, I would like to invite everyone to join a size acceptance forum. This is sort of a new message board. http://www.the-f-word.org/discuss/index.php promoting a positive body image to all people of all sizes. (the F word is fat. What were you thinking?!)

My user name is Cassandra over there, too. If you see me, say hi.
