Not sure if this is the right forum for this post, but, the Coop is all finished and we are ready (we hope) for some chickens, we were wondering what breed of chicken would be best for our area. We live in MA and we have a full range of weather here... so if you were us what would you get??

Breed hardiness is appropriate here. I would update your title so folks know what kind of help you are looking for. I'm sure there are many New Englander's who would be happy to help.

Here in PA, we have araucana and orpingtons. Both do very well in our climate. The orps are at higher risk of frost bite due to their single comb, but pea comb birds tolerate freezing temps well.
