In the Netherlands we have a saying ‘he has a hole in his hand’ , meaning (s)he cant keep or save money and spends his/her money not wisely.
I think the English ‘money burns a hole in his pocket’ has the exact same meaning. Can you use the saying without burning too?

Time for a change? A smarter handbag maybe, with a small compartment for keys, phone ad wallet. Nothing else. And a larger one for the mess.

I have been looking to get a smaller handbag so it has no room to house whatever stuff I keep in there.

My handbag I have receipts, phone, purse, comb, small tissues pack, hair accessories, things mom gave me, unfinished bar of chocolate..going to eat that some day in the future..and whatever else I don't even know. I never find anything in there

Usually phone and wallet. A few times a sandwich. I used to carry around a lot of stones/knicknacks/bits of wood/anything neat I found outside. I stopped when my favorite rock actually broke in several pieces from rattling about in there.
