question on americanas, araucanas, EE

That nothing in the dog show world

show quality dogs even for rare breeds go for over a grand.

At least that dog has the chance to reproduce and get some money back at the minimum or better yet be a companion for a long time.
We show pig as well as feeder calves, and this year will try our hand with chickens as well. Saw a barrow( for those that don't know, that is castrated male hog) last year that went for $10 grand. Not a typo, $10,000!! Now that barrow is going to end up as meat, no chance of making enough money to recoup the purchase price.
Show animals have their place, as do just regular run of the mill animals. What is really cool is that both can be fun to have around.

Yes, it will be considered an EE because an EE is any mixed or unknown breed of chicken which does not meet a standard and lays a colored egg.

Blue is the actual shell color and green is blue with a brown coating..... so most likely they will inherit the brown gene and make green eggs.

I LOVE my EE

Wow. I researched my chicks for a couple of weeks using BYC, my pet chicken, and various other sites before purchasing. I wanted a colorful egg basket so I decided to get the EE from the hatcheries with my other chicks. I thought this was my best option for a newbie with no clue. I will say that after 2 weeks with my babies that the EE are my favorites. 2 are chipmunks and 1 is white with a brown head. ( my daughters favorite) I love the look of Americanas so next spring I look forward to purchasing eggs or chicks from one of the breaders on this site.

Well, if you decide that the WBS Ameraucana is the one you want, keep me in mind.

Maybe we could trade some hatching eggs or chicks for some turkey or deer hunting, or some good ol' catfishing!
