Question regarding ability to have chickens in north stockton ca

I was hoping that someone might know if we are allowed to have chickens in the stonewood estate area of Stockton ca. We just moved here from Montana and the kids had to give away their chickens and are hoping that we might be able to have a few backyard chickens. I would appreciate if anyone can help answer out questions about this. Thanks!!
