Can chickens eat wheat bread? Sometimes we don't eat the heels, so I figured I could give them to the chickens.

Thanks @lightchick . Would you mind telling me why to not give too much? Is there something in it? We don't generally give any treats, but I figured I'd give them a treat occasionally by giving some bread. All they get is layer feed and grass/bugs when free ranging. I'll never give them table scraps or scratch. If and when we give bread, we'd probably only break one piece into small pieces for our six chickens. We definitely wouldn't over-feed on bread. Thanks.
