i ave been raising my chick on dumar chickstarter for 10 weeks and now product says to switch to grow and finish can sumone tell me the difference in feed my girls re pretty healthy right now but i thought i was to keep them on starter for the entire 18 weeks before switching to layer pellets

It’s not a huge deal. You can leave them on the Starter if you wish. But the idea is that the higher protein level gets them off to a good start but they don’t NEED it later. Grower is less expensive than Starter ($2 per bag here) and the smaller amount of protein in the Grower slows down body growth some so the skeleton and internal organs will mature more in line with body growth.

Plenty of people feed the more expensive Starter that they don’t need and their chicks do well. Purely a personal choice.

You got good advice.
