Question...
If I have two separate flocks, and house them in two separate coops, but let them all free range for the day, when night time comes will each flock return to their "own" coop?
Will they fight with each other during the day... or being able to go where ever they want during the day would they not fight or care about each other?

Thanks for your thoughts!

I would suspect it would change over time. Because chickens are creatures of habit, to begin with, each flock would most likely return to its own coop. However over time, a curious chicken will check out the other coop and decide to lay and/or sleep there. Eventually they will probably all choose to sleep in the same place. Perhaps a hanger-on or two will continue to return to lay in the original coop.

As for fighting, if they have enough space they will probably keep to themselves peacefully.
