Hey all. Thank you in advance for your responses. Once again whenever I have a question arise I know you will all be here to gi e me amazing advice. So today my concern is the heat. I have finally gotten my flock down to my 3 girls and finished brooding the rest for friends and family so I am jow down to my golden laced polish, barred rock and welsummer pullets. They are 17 weeks old and it is scorching over here in boise. Temp over 100 degrees staying hot till 8pm sun setting at 10pm. My polish and welsummer are both 2 hot tolerant breeds but my barred rock is more of a cold breed. She pants alot more then the others and I have done So so much every day to help them with there comfort on these days. Ice water. Ice block. Ice packs to stand on. A frozen brick to stand on. And today I bought a mister finally. It sets up like a snake coiled and standing to strike. It mists pretty well and doesn't get everything wet. Here's a pic of the set up. I think it's a well ventilated coop with a breeze that blows through it. My question is respitory dangers. What are your experience with these. Do your birds like them. Will it help? THANK YOU!
