I don't know how old these two are but when can I start taking them outside? Today the outside temp reached somewhere around 70 I think....
When can I tell if they are roos or hens?

I think thats all of my questions for now... If I think of more I shall surely ask.

I always wait until they are fully feathered out before taking them outside. They'll be about a month old or so. Until then, you can take them out for short periods as long as you make sure they don't get too cold.

Some breeds and birds can be identified as boy or girl younger than others. They'll need more feathers before you can tell what they are. Enjoy your birds! They're cute!

My 2 week olds are about as feathered as yours, so that is probably about the age you have. I am taking those and some 3 week olds out during the day all day, our temperature is between 65 and 80 (it fluctuates throughout the day pretty heavily) and they are doing fine. Tomorrow night they should be going out into the outside coop with a heat lamp and staying full time because we are going to need the brooder space for the next round of babies.

Your chicks are so cute! Ours are about the same age and when it's warm we let them go in a fenced pen outside with food and water for a few hours and then bring them in at the first sight of cooling temps. They love the sunshine! Just check the wind. I figure as long as they are peeping and exploring they are good but if they start huddling and shaking well then...they're too cold. Enjoy!!!
