Questions! Building 5x8 coop

Pics
When standing in the coop, with the door closed...where are the drafts coming from?
Your pic is show the eave, not the gable.
Need more pics of inside.
But if feathers are not being ruffled(literally) on the roost it's probably fine.

Yes, I meant eaves! I’m having issues uploading pic. They’re not roosting at all. Always on the floor. Trying to get all kinks out before it hits -12 in a few days

Work on pics...remind us of age and number of birds.
How long have they been in coop...any other birds involved...etcetc.

Have you stood in coop during wind?
Remember just because you are cold/uncomfortable, doesn't mean they are.

Will do! 4 hens, just moved them in Christmas Day. 23 weeks old.

I’m not sure if this is linked but my EE is sick. seems to be a respiratory issue? No other symptoms from other 3. I’m trying to do research on it now

Went out to check on hens and they were all sandwiched between a cinder block and a wall pig piled on top of each other. it was -15 degrees below outside temp in the coop. This can not be good. I brought them in garage for the night.

-15C or F?
In the coop or outside the coop?
Do you have a thermometer and hygrometer in the coop?
First winter with a new coop is nerve wracking, to say the least.
Keeping water thawed, balancing air flows, worrying that their down coats are not sufficient(they usually are).

Never did tell us about air movement inside coop while it was raging windy outside.

I got the drafts under control I believe. It was -15 F in the coop the night I took them out. That was from a thermometer. I was a worried because they were not acclimated but they are back in now! It got to 45 today.. just beautiful. Coop progress... I have yet to finish the egg boxes
