Buying from a feed mill will most likely be way cheaper, I get a 50lb bag for 13$ that will last all year.

Also, since I'm leaving in a week and a half for several weeks, I was going to get a little night light for in his coop. Is that ok? It's not very bright in there, and he'll likely be in there most of the time while we're gone.

You can, Geese just take naps during the night and are quite active unlike chickens. Great!

Also, can I make the buttermilk from milk and butter to ferment his alfalfa with? Can the alfalfa go bad? I've had it a long time. At least 3 or 4 months. It should still be ok though right?
