questions on making a brooder inside the coop

Pics
Ok got coop brooder blocked off. Still need to set up MHP, feeder and waters in there. But here is how it looks. Oh the holes in the pen are 1.5" x 6" (some are shorter but those are the long ones). I have to put something over them to make them smaller right?

Ya temporarily, just till the littles get a bit bigger. That looks great btw! Lots of space for them to run and play

I don't think they can get out of a 1.5" slot. but might be good to put smaller mesh on the lower foot or so.
Will you have tiny doors so they can integrate with the bigs after a couple weeks?
I open the tiny doors at about 4 weeks, then it takes a few more weeks to take down the barrier but they still have a creep feeder area where they can eat and drink without harassment.

Yes I am planning on figuring out a way to do tiny doors for them. Or I may make it that the door only opens up a little bit so they can get in but the bigs can't. I may have to take out a couple of the lower bars to make the doors.

Ya I figured I would have to put something. Not sure what I want to do yet since I really don't want to deal with HWC any more than I need to. Hahaha. But not sure I want to use cardboard since I feel that kind of defeats the purpose of brooding in the coop so they can see each other.... Hmmm need to think.

I was afraid of that answer. Hahaha. They will actually be about 5 days old when they go in there but still little. And thanks. It is around 6' x 2'

Do you have easy access to clean and keep food, water in there. Doesn't look like a lot of room to navigate around to do daily chores.

You can cut 4" long cardboard panels for the bottom if they can slip out of the fencing.

There is a door that opens so I can get in there to do things.

I may do cardboard just didn't want to block the big ones from having a full view, but guess they are taller so it won't block them. Lol
