Quick question about giving watermelon to ducklings.

Hey everyone, I’ve got a quick question. Can I give watermelon to my ducklings? They are only three days old at the moment, I give watermelon to my adult ducks as a treat, they love it so much. Any advice is very helpful. Thanks!

My chicks absolutely LOVE watermelon, and fruit for the most part is a safe treat. (I'm pretty sure your not supposed to give them citrus, but most other fruits are fine)
I love how the watermelon is soft (easy to eat) and hydrating for my little chicks.
As for ducklings, I'm not totally sure but I would assume it would be very similar.

I'd say it's okay but not every day it may cause too loose poop. My flock eats rind and all. Try them on a small amount since they are so young. You don't want them filling up on watermelon and not eating their crumble.

If giving anything besides feed, they will need grit available.

Thanks for the responses. I have been giving watermelon to my adult birds for a while now. I was just a little worried about giving it to my ducklings. I might give them very tiny pieces in a couple of days once their a little bit bigger. I know they would love it
