Quick Question for SoCal Chicken keeping!

Hello everyone! This will be my first official post on these forums and I just wanted to ask a couple of questions. The main one being is, and I can't seem to find a definitive answer anywhere. What is required for me to own a small flock in the back yard of my property in SoCal? Specifically Riverside. Thank you all in advance! I can't wait to get started on a small flock of my own soon.

That exact information was not written by your state boss people. It was written by just a person on the internet so I would contact your state 'boss people' and ask them.

Where is that info from? I didn't see anything about a permit in the ordinance. May have to do with your zoning.

Also I have no idea how California runs its rules and regulations and laws and blah blah blah...

I only know specifics on my particular city.
I can tell you that if you have HOAs there in your area you're going to want to make sure you know there laws/rules too.
