In my experience cats don't bother grown chickens, chicks yes, but not full gown big birds. You can post about your problem in the Predators and Pests for more responses and advice if the cats are a problem.

Sumi, here in the states, we have a thing called, " An order of eviction." It gives tenants a set time to vacated the property. Or the law gets involved. Maybe look into that. You have been fair with them, now it's time to get serious.

We did give them an eviction order in writing, but that turned out to add to the problems

We explicitly told the lawyer, no less than THREE times that their departure date is the 16th of May, which is exactly 2 months after we gave them notice… She drafted a nice formal letter and told them they need to vacate the property on the 30th of May!

None of us has any idea where she got that date from as the arrangement was around the 16th of the month since they moved in.

So now we don't know if they are going to do the decent thing for the first time since moving in here, and move out on the date they are supposed to (16th) or stay until the date the lawyer gave them. Which they can

This means we can't arrange a rental property for us and MIL to move to from here, because we don't know when these people are moving and the sale will only close when they leave. So we are stuck here until they go. Slightly stressful situation? And I'm trying to organise a house in Ireland for us to move to 3 weeks after these people move and we move and I can't give the agent that side a date until we know when these people are moving….

No, I haven't developed a drinking problem, but I'm working on it!

It's basically a soft hail stone, caused when snowflakes fall through super-cooled raindrops (as in water that's gone below 32 degrees but hasn't frozen yet) and makes this cold rain freeze to the flake, turning it into more of a snow ball... or marshmallow....or... Styrofoam pellets.
