Yesterday we were getting ready for guests when I had a feeling to go and check on the young chickens

. I went out and one of the pullets got it's had caught in the coop and died struggling to get I guess. It was pretty distressing, it reminded me of the last young chicken I found dead. I feel terrible for not checking sooner. But I think I have some good news!

I think one of my hens are broody!!!

I've had 3 broody hens and I loved them! But we didn't have one last year or the year before. I hope ya'll have a great day!

Go broody moms! Hoping you get some new chicks soon..I take it you have fertile eggs in the nest boxes? I have my first rooster. Hoping I can keep him, he can't be a loud boy. Or mean.
