"How am I not loyal?!" Crowpaw snarled. "I hunt for my clan everyday, I help patrol, I pitch in! Unlike you, who just sits around all day doing nothing but eating and sleeping!"
"Last time I checked I was a kit, thank you! I dont have to do that stuff yet but I do for us. I catch prey so that some of you can eat every day!"

"Last time I checked I was a kit, thank you! I dont have to do that stuff yet but I do for us. I catch prey so that some of you can eat every day!"
Crowpaw snarled at her, but instantly looked away. He was done fighting. He curled up beside Heronpaw, his back to the rest of the group, just waiting until everyone finished eating.

"I know, sorry about that. I was just so shocked and it was weird-" She broke off and was plunged into another vision. Her mother's collar was in her jaws and she was standing in a spot near where she was now. She dropped it and walked away crying. She went farther back into her earliest memory of playing with her mothers collar and bell. 'This is a bell my house folk gave me I use it to let cats know I'm here,' she mewed as Lavenderkit smacked it. Lavenderkit raced to where she had once stood after waking and there it was. A lavender colored collar was on the floor and she picked it up and slipped it on her neck. She promised to herself to never let it go, no matter what she had to endure. She flicked her ears and turned to the others. "Don't judge me, it was my mothers!" She hissed.
"I won't judge you." Heronpaw mewed.
"Yeah, yeah, whatever."

"Kittypet!" Crowpaw spat. "Has anyone even told you the warrior code?! It says that a warrior rejects the soft life of a Kittypet, including their stupid neck ropes!"
"So, what! A collar doesn't make me a kittypet! It's all I have left of her, don't judge me for that. Surely if it was your mum you would have done the same?"
Crowpaw hissed, hackles flaring. He stood up, looming over the kit. "Yeah? Well I have nothing left of my mother, and I've dealt with it. So get rid of the stupid thing or we'll leave you here." He whipped around, chest aching at the mention of his mother. He went to the other side of Heronpaw, as far away from the kit as he could. He sunk to the ground, watching the kit with a glare.
"You have memories don't you! I barely have one! You're lucky to have known your mother! MINE IS DEAD AND SO IS YOURS! AT LEAST YOU HAVE A FATHER AND SIBLINGS!!!!" She glared at the tom and hissed, "Leave me then you fox heart, I don't care, the clans could die for all I care!"
Crowpaw hissed, unsheathing his claws. He dug them deep into the earth, eyes flashing with a violent glare. "Actually, I hardly knew my mother as well. She was killed when I was three moons old. My father is dead to. And I had no siblings!" He spat, ears pinned to the back of his head, lips drawn back in a snarl. "Some loyal clan cat you are!"
"More loyal then you!" She spat.

Heronpaw decided she didn't want to get into this argument.
Crowpaw snarled at her, but instantly looked away. He was done fighting. He curled up beside Heronpaw, his back to the rest of the group, just waiting until everyone finished eating.
Heronpaw laid down beside him and rested her tail along his back, "She's only a kit, she doesn't understand. She'll let it go when she's apprenticed."

"I won't judge you." Heronpaw mewed.

Heronpaw decided she didn't want to get into this argument.

Heronpaw laid down beside him and rested her tail along his back, "She's only a kit, she doesn't understand. She'll let it go when she's apprenticed."
Crowpaw flinched when her tail rested on his back, the fur along his spine rising slightly. "She's almost a apprentice. She should know about the warrior code by now. It's not right." He growled, laying his head on his paws, not looking at her.

"Well, if she wants to go live as a kittypet, then she can leave." Heronpaw shrugged.

Morningpaw looked up, and nodded. "Yeah, I'm fine. Hey, you shouldn't be wearing that. It's a twoleg thing, warriors aren't supposed to wear them. I know Crowpaw was mean about it, but he's right."
"I-I guess but it reminds me of my mother... I miss her but I don't want to be a kittypet Morningpaw, I really don't... I just miss her, you understand right?"

"Well, if she wants to go live as a kittypet, then she can leave." Heronpaw shrugged.
Crowpaw muttered something along the lines of. "Traitorous Foxheart." Under his breath, looking out into the distance. "How are we ever going to do this journey?! We don't even know what we're looking for." He groaned, face planting his muzzle into the dirt.
