"Aren't I, though." Heronpaw went on, "Cats line up in front of the den, just to get a leaf that's been shredded by my claws."

Lavenderkit, still ignoring him turned away and laughed at Heronpaw. “At least you hide the fact you hate me!” She was joking and knows Heronpaw okay with her.

"Oh, you thought that?" Heronpaw asked, "I thought it was pretty obvious that I despise you."

Heronpaw smirked, making sure her sarcasm was present, "No, in SplashClan, we set kit against kit, it makes it more fair."

"Seems pretty fair," Coldshard said.

Lavenderkit felt herself laugh again and she looked up, “Oh, really! Well at least I didn't notice. I guess you are a good medicine cat if you can hide things that well.”

"Oh, definitely, Shadowstar came up with it himself." Heronpaw meowed.

Lavenderkit felt herself laugh again and she looked up, “Oh, really! Well at least I didn't notice. I guess you are a good medicine cat if you can hide things that well.”

"Well, I have to be. I know a lot of s e c r e t s." she whispered, as though it were crucial information.

Lavenderkit laughed again and looked at Heronpaw with the kitten eyes. “Will tell me a secret? Pretty please.”

"Well, I have to be. I know a lot of s e c r e t s." she whispered, as though it were crucial information.

"Yup. Shadowstar."
Somehow Heronpaw could always break the tension and make Coldshard less hateful.

Lavenderkit stared at Coldshard, he hadn't made a snarky comment. Maybe he wasn't so bad...

"It'd be dangerous if you knew, probably for the best I don't tell you." Heronpaw continued to whisper.
