"Your a medicine cat and from another clan, I shouldn't say stuff like that."Crowpaw snapped, looking away from her.Or thinking about half the things I am right now. You would never be with her idiot, I don't understand you sometimes.
Heronpaw shrugged, trying not to let his sudden snappishness get to her. It still did, though she tried to deny it. "Come on, now." she meowed, "There's no point in treating each other so coldly. Sure, borders are borders back home, but what's to stop friendship out here?"

"Because, Heronpaw, there are still borders out here. When we get back that friendship will just be shattered, and what happened here won't matter back home."Crowpaw growled.

"If it won't matter back home, then why not live in the moment?" Heronpaw asked, and for a split second, there was desperation in her voice, but then it was gone and replaced with determination, "Friendship is what will get us through this journey, it's what will make us succeed." she looked at him as best she could while walking, "I know it'll be hard to say goodbye, that's inevitable, it's part of these journeys. So why prolong the bond that's bound to come?" she looked away and trotted up to the front, just behind Coldshard.

Your so desprate for someone to like you, Crowpaw. But when someone actually does, you push them away. What are you so afraid of? Why do you push everyone away the moment they show a hint of affection? What is wrong with you?
Crowpaw lashed his tail, his eyes narrowed into slits.
For once, brain, can I ask what is wrong with you? Why do you try and force me to answer these questions I can't? Why do you bug me day and night?

Because, Crowpaw. You know you can answer these questions. You just refuse to. Because you know the truth, and you're afraid of it. Admit it, Birdbrain. You're so afraid of rejection and death that you push everyone away before you even have a chance of having any sort of friendship.

your hurt, Crowpaw. Not in a place anyone can see or touch, but you can only feel. You pity yourself, idiot. You have such a sob story you make everyone feel bad for you in your little state of depression. Your such a guilt trip.

I hate you! Stop talking to me!

You can never get rid of me. I'm the little voice in your head that will never leave you alone. I will haunt you, learn your tricks and hurt you from inside. I can break you as easily as I can snap a stick. It just takes time to learn, that's all.

Cougarpounce-Smoke-continued training session

"Why do you think the mouse got away?" Cougarpounce mewed to Beetlepaw with surprising patience.
"It's really fast," said Beetlepaw, "Am I pointing out the obvious to you now? Aren't you supposed to know these things?"
It'sgoingg to be night still for now
Coldshard was happy that he had imagined the light, and there were just stars, though he wasn't really happy either way, so maybe we could say he was less grumpy because there was night left.
"Because, Heronpaw, there are still borders out here. When we get back that friendship will just be shattered, and what happened here won't matter back home."Crowpaw growled.
"Yes," said Coldshard. "I expect we all follow the code when we get back, no matter how different it is now. And I expect a cat from Mapleclan would know how to follow the code? Just because in ForestClan we are a little rough on the edges, doesn't mean we don't follow the code."
He twitched his tail as he thought on the other hand Splashclan wasn't following it so well, but he didn't think this detail was important to pointing out the truth to Crowpaw.

"Oookay, Coldshard, no cat's saying you aren't loyal." Heronpaw meowed, "The warrior code is important, I know that as well as anyone, and you can trust that I'll keep following it back home. But when a cat seems friendly at first and their mood changes so quickly, it's just strange."

"It's really fast," said Beetlepaw, "Am I pointing out the obvious to you now? Aren't you supposed to know these things?"
"Of course I know the answer, I'm asking you." Cougarpounce said in his deep, handsome mew, for ounce he wasn't wearing his usual mask of reserve, he was himself, calm and clever, determined not to let his apprentice down, even if Beetlepaw did notice the change. "It is not the mouse that's fast, it's you that's slow. You need to trust your instincts, don't just just go, think. Keep your legs tight beneath you and make every paw step knowing where it's going to land. Then balance your weight in a way that will allow you to land evenly on your prey." He finished.
