R.I.P ~ Anekin Bunny~Updated(Scratchy also)

Oh, no, I just read this post. I'm so sorry. You can be at peace knowing that your bunnies did not suffer any horrible side effects before they passed. They are now in bunny heaven playing and hopping around with no pain. Hugs to you.

OK, i took Snowy to my beautiful bush vet this morning and he got his Jab.
Now we have to keep him inside for a week just to be on the safe side.
Im hoping he hasnt already got the virus, his mum was vaccinated which may give him a tiny bit of immunity.
Poor little guy, Im may get him one of his girlfriends from where i got him but she will need a jab too.
He has been playing with Charlie, my cat. Poor Charlie, he swats him with a closed paw, no nails, and Snowy goes for him, though they are getting to know each other.
I wonder how long it will take for this little fella to really get to know me? I want him to grab my trouser leg like Anny used to.
Have a great day.

Ok so far so good, my new bunny hasnt fallen to this virus.
He has a great appetite and I went and got him some treats today, corn, broccoli etc.
Though he has really taken a liking to my christmas tree light cords, he wrecked 2 strands of lights, and he only chewed the new fancy ones, not the old ones!!!
Hard to rouse on him though, he's too precious.
Have to go and buy some stop chew and brush it on to every cord thats near his reach.
Cant wait to let him outside on Monday!!!
But i love his personality, he's really smart!

Oh, Helen, I just found this thread how very awful for you!! I can't imagine losing two pets so closely together, how very, very heartbreaking. I am so very sorry.
Please keep us posted on Snowy. Maybe you can look for another bunny to grow up with Snowy?

Hi Ozark, dont worry, you have enough issues to deal with over there, I have seen so much sadness here on BYC in the last month, its hard to feel truly happy.
Snowy is going great guns at present. Hes a little BITER
but only when he's had enough pats he'll gently nip me, I have been bitten by bunnies before and they have long teeth and the bites take ages to heal and they hurt badly.
Snowy doesnt bite aggresively, just litle love bites so Ill have to watch him when he's near my face etc.
Im thinking of getting him a girl bunny, the owner rang me today, she's a tricolour and Snowy has been shacking up with her before I bought him, ill have to vaccinate her too.
Im going to sleep on it and try and pick her up tommorrow.
My petsitting business is really busy from tommorrow onwards, i have a clients poddy foal to milkfeed as well so im looking forward to that. Poddies always cheer me up.
Anyhow thankyou everyone and take care.

Good morning Helen, so glad to hear that your business is taking off so well.
I am sure Snowy would love to have a "friend" join him. We will be anxious to see their pictures

Yes Thanks everyone,
Im waiting for all the clients to drop in their keys and my wages so i can go and buy her. Its just the petrol to get her then take her to the other side of town to the vet for her vaccine.
Anyhow Ill show you the pics when she arrives and I get my camera back too.
