no they both squawk and chatter around I have never really noticed a difference all i know is the dark one has diferent waddles on it then the light one they like stand out or something and they hand down si i was told he was the roo i have no clue all i know is what i was told lol

listen close to ther calls, the one that sound like it has 2 different ones is the female. you will know when you here it. they call it a buck wheat sound becouse thats what it sounds like they are saying
***buckwheat** buck a lower and wheat in the same call just a tad bit highter,

Yep i see what you mean about the wattles. If they sound the same hehe both boys, no trust me you really have to listen to hear the second call and see which one is doing it. ive listening to these ones ALL WINTER LONG hehe what a long winter.hehe. i sat here one day out side and just watched them and listen it took me all day to figure it out. and then i was right the one i said was a boy is now trying to tag the one i said was a girl.
