rabbit food

I just went out to do my afternoon feeding/watering and my 12 week old chickens are out of food. I was wondering is it ok to give them rabbit food until I can go to the store in the morning or should I just go now??? I really don't want to, the store is 20 mins from me.

Oh, I think you should just hop in the car and go for a ride! Always better to err on the side of caution. JMO

If you have any oats (rolled oats or oat meal) or table scrapes at home i would say give them that over the rabbit food.

Thanks, I do have a big thing of oatmeal and some veggies in the fridge. I really don't want to go to town till tomorrow as I have a lot of shopping to do. I'm to tired to shop now. I'm a morning person,lol.

Sounds like a good plan. I had some left over rabbit pellets from 4 years ago. A few weeks ago I poured them out on the ground cuz I needed the container. The chickens didn't touch it but the wild rabbits had it cleaned up in no time!
