Raccoons are savage

I’d be looking for a fox as the culprit. That’s a lot of chickens to lose in one night

I have considered a fox, as we have a those too with the new development all around me, but can a fox get through or over a 4 foot chainlink fence?

Foxes climb very well. Four feet of chainlink won't deter very many predators at all.

At night they are locked in, but whatever got them did it when it was just getting dark. My dogs were barking on the other side of the fence and the predator apparently wasn’t at all deterred by that either
