I'm mixed on this one. You did say "illegals" didn't you? You are an American citizen, right? What's right is right and wrong is wrong. If you are going to come to this country, PLEASE do it legally. If you want to be an American, isn't it worth it to do it legally? Since when is disliking illegal activity (by that I mean coming to the US illegally)racism? I'm not a racist, I follow the law, I just ask that everyone else does too. I hope I don't offend anyone. I just spoke from the heart. I'm sorry you feel that this person was singling you out, but she was probably just speaking in general not knowing your situation. Some of the proudest Americans I know were born in Mexico. They took the classes, did all the work, and went about citizenship the LEGAL way. He is so proud and probably knows US History better than me.

Thats a hard one....I would personally ignore it....dont deal with her again....smile and wave....If she should ask why just tell her that what she had said about illegals really bothered you because it touched real close to home...thats all dont say anymore..let her stew on that....if she has a good heart ...it will fester and bother her as much as it bothers you...hopefully she will apoligize given the opportunity IF NOT..SMILE AND WAVE knowing you have did all you can....let her deal with her higher power....keep your chin up.
