Racoons tore my roosters comb

My rooster was attacked and his comb has been torn from back to the middle of his head..what should I do?

Sorry to hear about your rooster, raccoons can make for some nasty injuries.

He was fortunate- raccoons love to bite off any body part they can snag, wings, legs, face, etc. The lucky ones are killed, the survivors end up with gruesome damage. I truly hate raccoons, there is nothing cute about them.

Yes cookie was fortunate! His hen sugar not so fortunate..decapitated
Cookie's comb has began to mend on its own..it may even survive!
