Hi there. Hoping someone has insight. I have noticed tail feathers in two of my hens getting ragged, plus feathers sticking out at odd angles. On closer inspection it appears that the feathers are broken. I haven't noticed them picking on one another. I am going to check vents, tail shafts and under wings for mites and lice (need hubby to be home to help me out or I'd have done it already) and if I see no parasites, increase protein. Am I missing anything? Thank you.
