My ameracauna chicks are now around 5 weeks old and one of them has feathers that are all split on the ends and really raggedy looking. She is not sickly and nobody is pecking at her or anything her feathers just came in this way and they seem to be staying that way. She looks like somebody took a full blast blow dryer to her feathers and fried them or something. Anybody got any suggestions as to why this is or if I should worry about it. I named her Frazzle because she looks like somebody who got frazzled and kept running their hands through their hair as she is really puffy looking.[IMG]

Like whoa! same thing happened to my little 7 week old Plymouth rock. She's got her feathers all jumbled up and is a total Ragamuffin compared to her beautiful filled out sister.
