Ok this might be a dumb question but I got a saturn 15 feeder for my chickens and it works great except today it rained. I have the feeder under the nesting box of one of my coops but the rain hat that comes with it just protects the food inside. The food on the outside got wet as the rain hat does not cover the exposed edges. I have been thinking of ways to rig something up but thought I would ask for suggestions. I am not averse to spending a little money so can I get some ideas? Thanks.

One of mine is hanging in the coop, and some birds roost above it in the rafters. I was too cheap to spend $20 for a big wild bird feeder cone, so I bought a rubber feed tub wide enough, drilled a hole through the center, and hung it on the chain above the feeder. Not pretty, but it works!

A picture of where it's hanging might help. Can you put plywood up along run fencing where the feeder is, so rain can't blow in on it?
