So my poor flock got soaked today when this Indiana storm came in out of nowhere. We had to put on the ponchos and get down and dirty in the rain to get our girls to safety.
We had a big rain shower on Sunday, too, it lasted at least three hours. We had to have "Chicken dry-off time".
Chickens look scary after a big rain, with their head feathers all plastered to their skin!!!!!!
The last couple of days, we've gotten over 2 inches. My chickens will take cover when its coming down heavy, but light rain? They're out there in it. More bugs that way! I haven't gone out and dried any of them off, tho - I figure it's warm enough that they won't get chilled.
