Hello, I am try to figure out how to protect the chickens feed during rain storms. Currently I place their feed in their house during bad weather but I need a better way badly.

Thank you for your time

I normally just fill a drain pot ( bottom of flower pot ) with their feed. I have left over tin I can use to build a roof and walls over their feed but it sharp and I don’t want them to cut themselves. Why I posted here everyone here has amazing ideas and diff ways.

Thank you both I’ll def check that site out also!

My homemade trashcan feeder keeps the feed dry... it is in a semi- sheltered location... so between the coop and trees... which means protected from sideways rain.

What is the inside like? How does the feed not fall out? That size I think would work for turkeys too! Thank you so much for sharing

I can't find the inside photo... I will see if I can take one in the morning.

For turkeys, I wonder if 4 inch ports are big enough... or if you need to go up to 5 inch?

I’d prob go with the bigger side, snoods would need more room. Truly can’t thank you enough! Definitely going to pick up a can today!
